Monday 5-4-26 Beautiful Monday in Kansas, Belleville Fair Grounds & More

Camping at City of Belleville Rocky Pond Recreation Area

It was a gorgeous day. The morning temperature in Belleville KS was 50 degrees and the high was 85 degrees.

We woke up to blue skies. I made mini waffles for breakfast. We decided to stay another night at City of Belleville Rocky Pond Recreation Area.

Before it got too warm we went on a 3.25 mile walk to the NCK(North Central Kansas) Free Fair, which was a half mile away. As we walked to the fairgrounds and park we saw a beautiful horse (we saw the owner riding it yesterday) and her friend a goat. The horse was very friendly but I didn't pet it because I wasn't sure if it would bite. There was a cute mailbox with a tin man on it.

The NCK Free Fair facility was very well maintained. The fairgrounds had the High Banks Midget/Sprint Car Race Track, Horse Barn, Cattle Barn, Kiddie Barn and vendors buildings. Next to the NCK Free Fair is a city park, which has a playground, splash park, swimming pool (two levels one with a big slide and swimming area and a kiddie area), basketball hoops, Horseshoe pits, baseball field, softball field, grandstand and a walkway, that goes through the park.

After walking around the area we walked back to the RV park and walked around City of Belleville Rocky Pond Recreation Area. We had a super walk.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing in the Minnie. Larry finished a book he started yesterday. After I finished my games I continued reading The Curse of Pietro Houdini.

I played my games. I played 16 extra Solitaire games (4 Spiders, 8 Pyramid and 4 Tri Peaks) to earn double the points for the week games with the golden ticket. I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Pyramid Adventure of 20 games. It took me 1 hour, 27 minutes and 13 seconds to complete, which put me in 17th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

After dinner I went for a 3 mile walk around Rocky Pond Recreation Area. I did the park twice. As I walked I saw a red-wing blackbird, a Great blue heron and Canadian geese. We also saw theses birds this morning. I had a great walk.

By the end of the day I had done 16,500 steps. Good day for steps.
