Wednesday 5-20-26 Dancing Day, Computer Project & More

Virtual Square Dance Day

We had a beautiful day with a lot of sunshine.

I spent most of the day virtual square dancing. I attended three dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00 am for an hour. Terry was at the dance but didn't dance so Di danced by herself and called the whole dance. She called five tips to 8 participants. She worked on all the new calls, that were put in Plus from A1. She also worked on Plus moved the dancers were having problems with. I had a super time dancing to Di and with friends.

Second was Ett McAtee's Weekly C1 at 1:00 pm for an hour. This week Loren Smith covered her dance and Larry danced with me. Loren called five tips to 9 participants and he called a C2 tip. Loren did an outstanding job of calling for Ett. Larry and I had a great time dancing to Loren and with friends.

Third was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 pm for an hour and a half. Karin Rabe and Greg Moore helped call the dance. The format was three tips of C1 to 7 participants, three tips of A2 to 9 participants and the last tip 11 participants and two Trivial questions. Dave Hutchinson showed up to dance because his club cancelled their dance because of snow. During the C1 session Dave introduced us to a couple of old moves, which were Cross Back and Turn and Trade. Cross Back is the dancer facing out turns back as the in facing dancer crosses. Hinge and Trade, which is the dancers at the end of the wave hinges and trade as the center dancers trade and roll. It always fun when Dave introduces us to old and higher level moves. I had a great evening of dancing to Dave, Karin and Greg and with friends.

While I danced Larry worked on formatting the C1 tapes we use on Tuesdays dance. He e-mailed Henry and asked what program he was using and how he was connecting to the Skis amp.  Henry wrote him back and gave him the information. He worked on the application Henry was using.

I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Expert Only of 5 games. It took me 1 hour, 22 minutes and 17 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Batman Forever, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Fish Tales and The Goonies. While playing Batman Forever I became high score #1. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Big Bang Bar, Big Buck Hunter Pro, Big Trouble In Little China and Theatre of Magic. While playing Theatre of Magic I became high score #2 and got a new high score for the weekly challenge of 1,150,292,910. This score moved me into 15 place out of 75 participants. While playing Big Trouble In Little China I became high score #3. I had a great day of playing pinball.

After the dance we watched a couple of episodes of the second season of Dalgleish on PBS. When Larry went to bed I watched the third Harry Potter movie from our movies collection. It was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I watched Jesse Stone: Death In Paradise from our movies collection. I ended up doing 3.000 steps.

I worked on my jigsaw puzzle while watching television.
