Friday 5-15-26 Minnie Projects, Dancing with Loren & More

 

Celebrate it's Friday

We had an overcast day with wind. The morning temperature was 65 degrees and the high was 85 degrees. The wind and overcast skies kept it cool outside.

Minnie Projects

I woke up at 7:45 and Larry was already working on the Minnie. I went outside and he took a little break for breakfast. After breakfast he went back to the project. Years ago Larry had used Gorilla tape on the awning because the material along the top edge was deteriorating. This lasted a few years and he had to remove and replace the tape. It has now been a few years more and the tape started failing on our trip so Larry did a temporary repair. Today he removed the old Gorilla tape and replaced it with Eterna Bond tape. Removing and replacing the tape is a bit of a pain, you have remove the tape and then clean all the old adhesive off with mineral spirits. This must be done using a ladder and you have to keep moving the ladder. We never use the awning but we don't really want to remove it so this is a way to keep it maintained.

Next project on the Minnie was resealing around the antenna area. Years before we bought it the antenna for the television was knocked off and sealed up. The area started to leak so Larry patched the area with Eternal Bond. The other day when we had the rain storm the area started to leak again. Today he repatched the area with Eterna Bond.

Larry purchased a new air filter so he started to replace it and discovered the breather filter also needed to be replaced. He didn't have one but he found it at Advance Auto Parts. Then we had to go to town to get it. When we were in town we stopped and checked our mail at the UPS Store. 

While Larry was doing the Minnie projects I played games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Klondike Adventure of 20 games. It took me 1 hour, 7 minutes and 59 seconds to complete, which put me in 20th place in my group. Today when I played the challenges of Solitaire and the event my score was tripled instead of doubled. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Jaws, Medieval Madness, Red & Ted Road Show and World Joker Poker. While playing Medieval Madness I became high score #3 and Jaws I became high score #2. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Attack From Mars, Godzilla, Tales From the Crypt and Willow. I didn't get on the board while playing games on the big cabinet but had fun.

In the evening we attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance at 6:30 for an hour. This week Loren Smith covered for her because she was out of town. Loren called five tips to 10 participants. Ett forgot to send an e-mail so it was a small group but it was fun. Larry danced with me the whole dance. Once again we were the only couple dancing. We had a great time.

After the dance we finished watching the 16th season of Call The Midwife. When Larry went to bed I watched Inferno and Sonic the Hedgehog from our movies collection. I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
