Pot Luck "Hog Roast"
We had a humid day. In the morning when we woke up it was 53 degrees. We slept with a window open and under a light cover. It got up to 78 degrees with a cloud covering.
Today was the pot luck supper with a hog roast as the main course. People brought a covered side dish. I took Reese butter cup bars for a dessert. We had to bring our own table service. It started at 5:00 so we had all day to do whatever we wanted.
I made blueberry mini waffles for breakfast. Then we went for a walk around the campground. More people came in last night after dark and more came in during the day today. Sometimes there were three or four RVs at a time. We walked around for 40 minutes for 1.5 miles.
When we got back to the Minnie we read. I finished reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows. It was a fiction story written as letters to and from acquaintances of an author, it took place directly after WWII. It was an excellent book. Then I asked Larry to pick me another book. He chose Fatal Lies by Frank Tallis, which is the third book of the Vienna Blood series. Larry finished his book yesterday and started a new one.
In the afternoon we went over to take a shower. It was an old bathhouse but clean. The shower was very good. In fact it got hot and you had to adjust the temperature by moving the knob down.
At 4:30 we went over to the entertainment area to participate in the pot luck. There was a lot of food. There were different salads (macaroni, potato, rice and bean), pinto beans and other sides. They had a few tables with desserts (brownies, cookies, pies, my dish and others). The park supplied delicious roasted pork. The line started out being very slow but once they formed two lines it went faster. The owners/promoters, Linda & Bill Lovett greeted everyone and took their pictures.

After the pot luck we went back to the Minnie to get our sweaters, as the sun went down it was getting chilly. The music started at 6:30 so we had a half hour to walk around. We walked through a couple of the vendors shops, Larry bought a Turkey Track cap. There were five groups scheduled to perform tonight: the Turkey Track Band, High Fidelity, Little Roy & Lizzy, The Roving Gamblers and Mike Powell & James Tyson. Each group performed for 45 minutes. We stayed for the Turkey Track Band, High Fidelity and Little Roy & Lizzy and fifteen minutes of The Roving Gamblers. Halfway through Little Roy & Lizzy they did a little skit on Donald Trump. My favorite band of the night was Little Roy & Lizzy. We had a great evening of entertainment. Tomorrow we have music all day.

We had a super day. I ended up doing 8,000 steps.
