Cooper Lake
We had a awesome day.
We woke up to a low of 64 degrees and the high was 91 degrees. We slept with the fan going, which made it very comfortable. I got up at 7:15 and got dressed. Then I made french toast cinnamon sticks for breakfast. After breakfast we got ready to go for a hike. We hiked the equestrian trail for three miles. The trail goes for over 11 miles but someone put a three mile loop in AllTrails. The trail took us through trees and over some tree roots. It was challenging due to the ruts that were created by horses. We took a small loop that took us by the lake. It's a beautiful lake. The trail is an easy hike. By the end of our hike we had gone 3.4 miles. It was starting to get hot and humid.

Cooper State Park has two units, Doctors Creek and South Sulphur. We stayed in South Sulphur. It has two loops with electricity and water. Bright Star Loop has 42 units with 50 amp and Deer Haven has 31 with 30 amp. Each site has picnic table, fire ring, water hookup, electricity hook up, lantern post and bathroom with showers close by. South Sulphur has an Equestrian Campground with, lantern post, 10' X 55' concrete slab and 20-foot tether cable. South Sulphur also has 15 walk-in tent sites. The sites have a picnic table, fire ring, water nearby, lantern post and bathrooms with showers nearby. The park offers a lot of activities for everyone. You can fish, swim, picnic, boat, paddle, water-ski, bike, bird watching, riding horses, study nature, stargazing, geocache and camping.
We spent the afternoon relaxing with a book under the air conditioner. I finished the fourth book of Vienna Blood series called Vienna Secrets and started the fifth book in the series called Vienna Twilight. Larry started and finished a book. Then he started another book.
While we were reading a cardinal came by and tried to fight his reflection in the window. He was determined to fight it for over an hour. I was sure he was going to hurt himself but he didn't. When the sun was going down he came back and tried again. This time he only tried a few times.

Later on we went across the street to the restroom and took a shower. The shower was very nice.
About 6:00 I went for a walk. I walked for about a half hour for 1.33 miles to get my steps. While I was walking around the equestrian campground I saw a few deer. When they saw me they ran away. I had a very nice walk. By the end of the day I had done 12,500 steps.
