Saturday 10-25-25 Rain, Reading, Charging Station & More

 

Raining Afternoon

 

It rained all last night and into the early morning. The low temperature was 63 degrees and got up to 79 at 3:00 pm. Then the rain came back and the temperature dropped back down to 61. The rain stayed around the rest of the evening.

We couldn't do too much outdoors. Larry went and got the lithium battery station out of the Minnie. While we were on our trip twice it shutdown prematurely. Both times the overnight temperatures were in the high 30's. It does have low temperature protection built in but it should not shutdown until it is near freezing. Maybe that is the problem. Of course that will be very difficult to diagnose since we have no way to get the battery that cold. Larry is going to run some other experiments on it to try and ensure something else is not causing the issue.   

I spent a lot of the day reading Mephisto Waltz by Frank Tallis. 

 

Reading is relaxing

In the afternoon I played seven games of pinball. They were Gillian's Island, Willy Wonka, Attack From Mars, Transformer, Goldeneye, Theatre of Magic and Playboy. I played Attack From Mars three times to get a score I was happy with the score. I had saved France, Italy, Germany, England and the U.S.A. I played Playboy two times before I got all 12 playmates and played Mansion Mania. I entered my initials in the Mansion Mania. While playing Transformer I was high score #3. I had a great afternoon.

I played one game of Pirate's Plunder on Bounce. I earned a silver trophy, defeated my enemies twice, got the Jolliest Roger twice and earned the Skeleton Skull. I played the game for 20 minutes.

In the evening I made apple empandas. They came out great. We started to watch the fourth season of Vienna Blood on PBS. After Larry went to bed I watched two movies on Tubi. First was another Diane Keaton movie called Darling Companion. It was about a woman, who rescues a dog and falls in love with it and runs away. It was a cute movie starring Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline. Second was Murphy's Romance starring Sally Fields and James Garner. It was a cute romantic movie about an older man. who falls in love with a younger woman. I liked it 30 years ago and I enjoyed watching it again.

I ended up doing 2,000 steps. I played the Daily Event of Solitaire, which was Event: World Tour Mini. It took me 1 hour, 9 minutes and 40 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group.
