Turkey Track Shuttle to the music
We woke up to a cool temperature of 50 degrees. There was a little breeze. Larry plugged in our electric heater. Late in the day It got up to 80 degrees.
There is no cell service here, we are glad we have Starlink satellite.
The music started at 1:00 pm so we spent the morning hanging around the Minnie. I continued reading Fatal Lies by Frank Tallis. Larry finished his book.
Larry spent a good part of the morning trying to figure where we're going from here. Because of the shutdown of the Federal Parks and Monday being Columbus' Day it was difficult to get into a state park. We really don't like just sitting around a campground and reading but it's going to be hot. We're leaving here early Sunday and we really don't want to drive too far. Larry found a state park about 200 miles away that will work great, we will stay Sunday and Monday night.
At 12:30 we went over to the stage area. Five different groups where scheduled for this afternoon and evening. The session this afternoon was 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm but it didn't get finished until after 5:00 pm. The groups we listened to were The Roving Gamblers, Deeper Shade of Blue, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, Little Roy & Lizzy and High Fidelity. We listened to part of The Roving Gamblers last night and all of Little Roy & Lizzy and High Fidelity last night. The sound was a lot better today. We had a super time listening to all the groups.
Mike Powell (Emcee)
Little Roy & Lizzy
The Roving Gamblers
Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley ( on guitar)
Deeper Shade of Blue
High Fidelity
Then we went back in the evening to listens to the same groups. The evening session started at 6:30 pm and went till 10:30. We listened to: The Roving Gamblers, Deeper Shade of Blue and Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley. We showed up at 6:30 and left 8:30. It looked like a lot more people were at the evening session than the morning. More people were here tonight than last night. We brought along jackets but It was still a little nippy so tomorrow night we'll wear a heavier jacket.
We had a super time listening to music all afternoon and evening. During the afternoon session we both had a cup of soft serve ice cream (Larry had butterscotch on his ice cream and I had chocolate on mine).
I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
