Wednesday 2-3 Wonderful Day and Back Home

We had a wonderful day. It got up to 70 degrees. It was very windy.

This time of year is great for camping, here in Central Texas the night time temperature normally cools down into the 30's and during the day it gets up into the 60's. So we take advantage of the cool temperatures because we love to hike.

We are back at the house after camping at Fort Parker State Park for three nights. We had an outstanding time. During our stay we hiked the trails for a total of 20.5 miles. There were five different trails: Bur Oak .5 mile loop, Springfield 1.8 miles loop, Navasota River 1.9 miles one way, Baines Creek 2.5 miles one way and River .9 mile loop. Most of the trails were easy except for the Baines Creek, which was moderate. In order to get to the Baines Creek Trail we had to walk two miles to the trailhead. All the trails were wide, they went through trees and over roots and rocks. We barbecued burgers. In between the hiking and walking we relaxed. Larry read a couple of books and I played computer games. The campground is on a 750-acre lake. We had gorgeous sunsets.

We got home at 11:00. I waited to empty the Minnie for a bit because they were delivering and spreading truck loads of dirt to our neighbors lot and the wind was out of the south so the dust was blowing in our direction. After they stopped moving the dirt I unloaded the Minnie.

I did Solitaire Daily Challenges and the Event: World Tour Mini of 7 games. It took me 32 minutes and 24 seconds to complete. We watched some YouTube videos.

In the evening we attended Doren McBroom's Weekly C1 dance at 6:30 for an hour and a half. We had a small group of 16 participating. It started out a little shaky but it smoothed out and we had fun.

After the dance we watched a documentary on Amazon called Ocean Rescue: Making the Squad. It was about trying out for the life guard squad on Wrightsville Ocean beach in North Carolina. It was very good. Then I started the third season of 19-2. I ended up doing 26,000 steps, which put me in third place in my group.
