Thursday 2-4 Almost a Record High

I'm so excited

We had a beautiful day of 77 degrees, which just missed our record high of 78 degrees. By 5:00 the temperature had dropped to 67 degrees. It was very pleasant outside even with the strong wind.

Yesterday, we did our weekly grocery shopping using home delivery from Walmart. Our order was scheduled to arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 but didn't make it. So we gave it a little more time, after a couple of hours Larry chatted with a representative. He said the driver didn't show up and they were trying to find a replacement. Once they found a driver our groceries were delivered. Like always I forgot to order a couple of things so first thing this morning Larry went to town to pick the items. While he was in town he swung by and picked up our mail at the UPS Store.

Larry worked on a couple of paper crafts. One was making a birthday card for his friend, Mike who owns a small airplane. While Larry did this I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Medium Mayhem Mini of 15 games. It took me 47 minutes and 7 seconds, which put me in tenth place in my group. I also played a few Jewel games.

We attended three virtual dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly C1 at 11:00 for one hour. We had 27 participants. Dayle called some challenging moves and cued when necessary. We brokedown a few times but we had a great time.

The second one was Joachim Ruehenbeck Bi-Monthly C1/C2 at 12:30 for two hours. We attended the C1 session with 30 participants. Joachim called five tips. He makes it challenging because he calls faster than the other callers. We had a super time.

The third one was Jeremy Butler's Weekly A2/C1 at 6:00 for an hour. He calls four A2 tips and a C1 tip. During the A2 tips we had 19 participants and during the C1 tip we had 16. The fourth A2 tip had more full square moves, which was great because we need to keep up our skills in full square moves. We had an outstanding hour.

In between the dances we watched YouTube videos. I continued reading West With Giraffes. After the last dance we watched a couple of documentaries. The first one was Chocolate's Heart of Darkness, which was about child labor in Ivory Coast on the chocolate plantations. It was very interesting. The second one was Voices In Tunnels, which was about the people who live in the New York City tunnels. It wasn't that good. Afterwards I finished up the third season of 19-2. I ended up doing 28,000 steps, which put me in fifth place in my group with 108370 steps.
