Happy February. Who is your valentine? My valentine is my husband. He has been mine for almost 40 years.

Still walking in the fog |
We started the month out by walking, doing errands and swimming. In the morning Larry and I went on an hour walk. We started at our house and ended up at Temple Lake Park on Belton Lake, a little over a mile one way. When we started walking there was a heavy fog but by the time we got to Temple Lake Park the fog was gone. When we got to the gate of the park we rested and I took a few pictures. While I was taking pictures a mother with a child in a stroller came by, she was going to take the child out of the stroller and then lift the stroller over the gate. Larry saw that the lock had been removed from the gate so he swung it open, the mother was very grateful for this. She thanked him and continued her walk. When I finished taking pictures we headed back to the house. We had a great walk.
The next thing we did was a Minnie Project. When we go camping in the Minnie sometimes we will get odors from the holding tanks. While the house was being built we lived in the Minnie for nine months, during that time Larry extending the vent pipe and installed a really small fan and that took care of the problem. Unfortunately you can't leave an extended pipe on the top of your RV because it would hit something and get torn off. Larry decided to rebuild the system he built three years ago. Using the old parts he actually only needed one part he did not have to build a temporary solution, however, he wants to build something that will work even better over the long haul. He made a list of what parts he needed. Then he went to the Internet and did research on where he bought the original fan and placed an order for two more. Next we loaded Flo into the car and headed to town. The first stop was Walmart, where he checked out if they had a part he wanted, nope, so on to The Home Depot where he picked up a couple items. The last stop was Sunbelt RV Center for a new vent cap. Now Larry has everything to build the temporary black tank vent fan. In order to build what he really wants he will need to wait for some pieces to arrive. To power the fans he uses small solar panels that he also had to order.

Flo enjoying her swim |
On the way home I mentioned that Flo hadn't gone swimming in months. Larry suggested we go to Temple Lake Park considering we have an annual pass for the Corps of Engineer Parks. Before going to the park we swung by the house for the pass. Temple Lake Park has been closed due to the high water in the summer. The water did a lot of damage to the bathrooms and the park. When we got to the park, it was still closed. The only area that was open was the boat ramp so that's where we went. Flo was very excited she could hardly sit still. While I took Flo for a swim Larry read the newspaper. Flo had a great time swimming and it wore her out.

The finished product |
When we got home Larry worked on the Minnie's Project. He enjoys doing projects considering they keep him thinking. Using the parts from the last time he soldered wires to get the fan to work, then he cut a
small piece of pipe, assembled the pipe to a rubber coupling and put
the cap on, everything is finished except installing the solar panel on the top. When he tried to take the old one off the old vent cap the solar panel came loose from its plate so he had to clean it up and glue the plate back on, he will have to wait until tomorrow for the glue to dry. The fan project came out super.

HEB Bacon Sausage and Jalapeno Poppers |
While Larry was finishing up the project I barbecued HEB Jalapeno Sausage Bacon Wraps. In the evening we watched YouTube videos and a couple of shows off Amazon. One show was a movie called The Sea of Trees, starring Matthew McConaughey. It was a very slow moving movie and it wasn't that good. The second show was Double Identity: Secret of Twins. It was a documentary on a test done on identical twins. It was very interesting. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
