Allemande Hall |
What a super day we had of dancing!!! We're now exhausted.

Our Minnie |
We decided to take the Minnie up to Allemande Hall considering we were going to be dancing there all day. Yesterday, we put a few things in the Minnie such as food for our meals and clothes we were going to wear while dancing. This morning at 8:15 we loaded Flo into the Minnie and started our adventure. On the way to the hall we swung by the 7-11 to fill the Minnie up with gas.

Everyone waiting for Jerry to call the next move |
The dancing was three, two hour sessions of plus DBD. The first two sessions were workshops, the morning session started at 10:00 and the afternoon session was at 2:00. There was a Baylor Bears basketball game at 2:00 pm and a few of the square dancers went to the game so we only had four squares. The third session was a dance at 6:00 pm. It started out with exactly enough people for five squares but after the first tip there were a couple of extra couples. At the end of each session Jerry called an A tip. Jerry introduced us to moves he made up just to make the dancing more enjoyable and challenging. He only gave us a couple of minutes between tips. During the afternoon workshop we sat out a tip so I took pictures. The other two sessions we danced every tip. We even danced the A tips. We were going to pass on the last A tip but they needed a other couple to make two squares so we ended up dancing it. All the sessions were high energy and challenging. In between each session we went back to the Minnie to rest and take care of Flo. We had an outstanding day of dancing.
