Where does the time go? |
We woke up to overcast skies, wind out of the south and temperatures in the 40's. We loaded Flo into the car and went to town to do a few errands. The first stop was at The Car Wash Barn to give the car a bath, it wasn't too dirty but it had black spots on the hood. When we got there the sign had changed from The Car Wash Barn to Mister Car Wash and the entrance area signs had changed. There were also a couple of employees at the machines to help people, actually there were there to try and get you to spend money on services you would not normally purchase. Larry asked them if they were still having the early bird discount, which was if you got there before 10:00 you save $2.00 on any wash. They said they will honor it until the end of the month but to get the discount you have to ask and one of the employees has to be at the machine to code it in.
New shoes for me |
The next stop was Walmart. We needed more weed killer for the yards, a sprayer for the hose to spread the killer and more quick disconnects for our hoses outside. Before we went to town Larry looked at my tennis shoes and saw they were worn out. I had bought my last pair at Walmart. So while we were at Walmart we found a new pair of the exact same shoes. We didn't find the weed killer we wanted. We looked at the sprayers and Larry didn't find one he wanted.
The third stop was The Home Depot, where he found an elbow connector he wanted for his CPAP machine conversion. While there he found the weed killer he wanted. We also looked at the sprayers but didn't have any luck on finding one he wanted.

The final stop was in Temple at The Tractor Supply Store. Before we left the house Larry got on The Tractor Supply Store website and found that they had the sprayer he wanted in stock. We don't often get the chance to walk through The Tractor Supply Store so we took advantage of it. We found the sprayer and bought it.
On the way home we stopped for lunch at Big Chew-Chews restaurant. It's a small hamburger joint down the street from us off of Adams. For years we have been talked about trying it out. Larry and I shared a cheese burger, onion rings and a chocolate sundae. The food was delicious.
The sprayer is in metric so we had to do an experiment on how many milliliters make a ounce and the correct number to use for the liquid pre-emergent that we are going to use. We found that for one ounce of liquid it was 29.57 milliliters. We had fun playing with the sprayer. After our experiment Larry marked the sprayer with the conversions.
By the time we did our errands in town and played with the sprayer it was 2:30 in the afternoon. Where does the time go?
In the evening we watched YouTube videos and we watched The Danish Girl movie we bought from Amazon. It is a love story between two Danish artist, where one is a transgender. It was a good movie. We had a very good day. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!
