A dreary day |
We woke up to overcast skies and the clouds stayed around all day. It didn't rain but it was still wet outside. We spent most of day at the house.
I worked on my annual book and read. While we were eating lunch Larry got an e-mail from the UPS Store that said we had a package waiting for us. After lunch we decided to go and pick it up. We got there a few minutes to 1:00, it wasn't open yet. There were people waiting to go inside, they opened the doors at 1:00. There was only one person working, on a normal weekday they have three people. Larry didn't have to wait long. The package was from his ma, Shirley. It was our Christmas gifts and goodies, which were fudge, cookies, peanut brittle and chocolate candies. We snacked on the goodies all afternoon and evening. The goodies were delicious, thank you Shirley.

In the evening we watched YouTube videos. We streamed a documentary and a movie via Amazon. The documentary was called Willard: The Hermit of Gully Lake, it was about American-born Willard MacDonald. After jumping his troops train during World War II, he lived as a hermit in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was a good documentary. The movie was cute, it was a fiction about Alabama Moon, an eleven year old boy who was raised in the wilderness by his father and had to learn to live in the modern world after his father died. Afterwards I watched a couple of KLUR programs Father Brown and The Last Tango in Halifax Holiday Special. We had a relaxing day.
