It's getting cold |
The rain is gone but now it's suppose to get cold. Today it didn't get out of the 50's and in the morning it's going to be in the low 30's, burr, I'm cold just thinking about it. Enough complaining about the cold.
After a week of visiting with Larry's mom (Shirley) today we said good-bye to her. Larry and I took her to the airport in Waco to catch her plane at 2:30. On the way home we stopped by the storage center where the Minnie is stored to prepare it for the cold. We store it inside and there is power so we plugged it in and set the thermostat on a small electric heater to 45 degrees Fahrenheit, this will keep anything from freezing. We have camped down into the teens and by using a small heater we have never had a problem with anything freezing.
A few weeks ago Larry bought a digital thermostat controller to plug a small electric heater into. When he received it and started playing with it he found that it was too complicated, he shipped it back and ordered a different one. When it arrived he experimented with it and found that it was easy to use and it worked perfect. When we turned on the heater in the Minnie he connected the digital thermostat to it and set the thermostat for the temperature we wanted to keep the Minnie at to prevent the plumbing and tanks from freezing.
Christmas mugs full of taffy and a Christmas tree full of chocolates |
The cookies that were in the Christmas tin |
The chocolates that were from Japan |
We hadn't been grocery shopping for over a week so the next stop was HEB. We didn't need a lot so it didn't take long. Next we went across the road to The UPS Store to pickup our mail and a package that was there. The package was our Christmas gifts from his aunt Barbara. When I opened the package not only were there gifts but also some goodies (a tin full of cookies, a box of chocolates from Japan, a couple of coffee mugs full of taffy and a glass Christmas tree full of chocolates). We munched on the goodies the rest of the afternoon.
Watching YouTube videos |
In the evening we watched the RV living videos we follow and some more YouTube videos. We had a relaxing evening. Before going to bed I worked out for an hour. Then I played my daily computer games. We had a very good day. Have Fun!!!!
