Thanksgiving Celebration |
This morning I woke up the same time as Larry. We had waited to celebrate Thanksgiving until today because Shirley was coming to town. When I got up I made breakfast and then got the turkey in the oven. While it was cooking I put a relish tray (sweet pickles, olives, cheddar cheese and ham) and deviled eggs together for a snack. Louise showed up around 10 and she brought egg noodles and brownies. Shirley also had brought cookies, Lake Travis Mudd fudge, popcorn balls, Christmas cookies and peanut butter chocolate chips dessert bars. We had a lot of stuff to snack on while waiting for the turkey. After three hours the turkey was done. While it was cooling off I made mash potatoes and gravy, Stove Top dressing and croissant rolls. We had a great Thanksgiving lunch and for dinner we had leftovers. We hung around the house all day and visited.
In the evening Larry and I went to Sun City to dance A with the Sundancers. There were enough people for a square plus two extra couples. We had a super time dancing. While we were dancing Louise and Shirley watched TV. When we got back to the house we had apple pie for dessert and we visited until it was time for bed.
