Beautiful Day |
Today started out with a little fog and wind that stayed in most of the day. The weatherman said it was going to be 70. It stayed in the 50's most of the day. In the afternoon the sun finally came out and it became a beautiful day with the high of 66.

Sanding the ramp after the first coat of polyurethane |
We didn't start working on applying the polyurethane to the ramp until after lunch. The wind was up and it was cold outside so we worked on the ramp in the garage. The polyurethane that we used was Miniwax Pro Series Spar Urethane. The directions on the can said that it will take four coats to do the job and you should wait two hours in between each coat. Larry applied three coats, he had to apply polyurethane on both the back and front so he waited an hour after doing the front side before flipping to do the back side. After the first coat of polyurethane dried he sanded down the surface before applying the second coat. He worked on the ramp all afternoon and a couple hours in the evening. While he was waiting each coat to dry he worked on a music project. I helped when he needed me to. I worked out on my Gold's Gym program for a half hour and Just Dance program for a half hour.
In the evening we watched our YouTube videos and an Amazon movie called No Place On Earth. The movie was a documentary on how Esther Stermer and her family survived underground for nearly a year and a half when the Nazis invaded Ukraine in 1943. It was an outstanding movie.
