7-5 It's Hot!!!!!

It's Hot

According to our thermometer at the house it got to 100 degrees but officially it only got to 98. This morning we took Flo for a swim at Nolan Creek, we were the only ones there. The City of Belton hasn't removed the bridge over the creek but they did remove the steps. Flo didn't even pay any attention to the bridge, she just walked into the creek. She swam a long ways before she pulled herself out of the creek to rest. It didn't take her long before she went back into the water. When she finished her swim I put the leash on so she wouldn't go back into the water. I knew she was tired and it was going to be a long walk back to the car. Today I was lucky, she paid attention to me so I didn't fight with her. We were almost back to Larry when she saw the ducks and she wanted to chase them but since she was on leash she didn't get far. Actually its not much of a chase, she is so slow the ducks simply waddle away from her. After putting Flo back into the car we headed towards the house but on the way we stopped at NAPA Auto Parts to pick up a part Larry needed for his project for the air springs on the Minnie. The other day Larry had received some parts for his project and one of the companies shipped the right part number but the part was wrong in the package. NAPA had the right part so he is one happy man. The next stop was The Home Depot to look at metal plates. For the project Larry needs to build a small mounting plate to put the valves and gauges on. He didn't quite find the right plate so we went to Lowe's where he found a plate he could use but it was not what he really wanted. When we got home Larry looked through his scrap metal pieces and found a piece he can use.

After lunch I worked out for 45 minutes with Wii Sports, 45 minutes with Just Dance 2016 and 30 minutes with Wii Fit. While I was working out Flo went outside for a little bit to sun. Larry started working on his project by building the plate he wanted. Once he got the plate built he worked on trying to figure out how to mount the valves and gauges on it.

 In the evening we watched a couple documentaries on Amazon. American Grand was the first one. It was about rebuilding a Grand Piano. Richard Davenport owns his own company that rebuilds pianos. It takes you through the whole process that Richard and his crew goes through when they rebuild a piano. The other documentary was Running Wild: The Life of Dayton O. Hyde. It was about Dayton O. Hyde life. He started Sanctuary for Wild Horses in South Dakota. It was very good. After watching the documentaries I worked on my puzzle until it was time to go to bed.
