Wednesday 2-5-25 Dancing, Projects & Games

 

Overcast Day

We had an overcast day with a little wind in the afternoon. The high was 74 degrees.

We kept busy doing this and that. 

Larry spent the day working on the mini pinball cabinet. He continued tweaking the games he installed. After he fixed a game he would play it.

I started the day by doing the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Klondike Adventure of 20 games. It took me 57 minutes and 11 seconds, which put me in 13th place in my group. Then played Angry Birds 2 and Angry Birds and Friends.

I attended two virtual square dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00 for an hour. Di and Terry took turns calling 5 tips to 10 participants. Di worked on Spin Chain the Gears and moves we were having problems with. Di and Terry did an excellent job of calling the dance. I had a great time dancing with friends and to Di and Terry.

Second was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 for an hour and a half. This week's dance was dedicated to Joe Uebelacker, who was a caller from Canada. He passed away 1/26/25. He used to call now and then with Dave Eno on Wednesdays nights. He also hosted a Saturday afternoon program called Callers in Cars. During this program Joe would interview different callers about their career and life. During the dance Dave, Karin and Greg called to songs, that has Joe in them. The formation was three tips of C1 to 10 participants, three A2 tips to 11 participants and one trivia question. During the A2 session all three callers took turns calling two of the tips. The second tip Dave played a tip, that Joe called at one of his Mainstream Virtual Square Dances. Joe did a sing call at the end of the tip. He had a very good singing voice. The trivia question was a recorded trivia question about Joe. Joe answered the question on which one wasn't true about him. I had a super time dancing with friends and to Dave, Karin and Greg.

I worked out with the Wii Fit for a half hour, Just Dance 3 for a half hour and Synth Riders for a half hour.

I played Gunpowder Gulch in Bounce Arcade once. During the game I earned a silver trophy and played three multi-balls, which were Saloon, Safe Crack and Jailhouse Breakout. I did a shoot out with the deputies, shot the barrels twice and quick drawl with the deputies and failed. I cracked the safe. I had a good game of Gunpowder Gulch.

I played four games of pinball. The games were the weekly challenge of Monster Bash, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mission Impossible and Junk Yard. I didn't get on the board or a new high score but I had fun.

I worked on the Fairy diamond painting. I will finish it tomorrow.

After Dave's dance we watched a couple of episodes of the13th season of Death In Paradise. Then I finished watching fourth season of McDonald & Dobbs and watched an episode of the 12th season of Father Brown. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 7th place in my group.
