Wednesday 2-12-25 Dancing Virtually, Games & Projects

Rain, Cloudy & Sunshine

We woke up to rain. It was overcast until mid-afternoon when the sun came out a little bit. The high temperature was 58 degrees.

I attended two virtual square dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00 for an hour. Today was a Valentine's dance and we danced to songs of love. The dancers dressed in red to celebrate Valentine's day. Di and Terry took turns calling five tips to 10 participants. Di worked on moves the dancers were having problems with. She concentrated on Track 2, Load The Boat and Spin Chain The Gears. I had a great time dancing with friends.

Second was Dave Eno's Valentine's dance at 6:00 for an hour and a half. This week Dave called be himself because Karin's mom passed away. He called three tips of C1 to 10 participants, three tips of A2 to 10 participants and two trivia questions. Dave did an excellent job of calling the dance and walked us through sequences we were having trouble with. I had a very nice evening of dancing with friends and to Dave.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Easy Street Mini of 5 games. It took me 10 minutes and 38 seconds, which put me in 24th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

While I danced and played games Larry continued working on the pinball cabinet's amplifiers. After spending a couple of hours trying to remove Bluetooth from one of the old amplifiers he finally gave up. He really believes he found out how to do it but he was unable to solder jumper wires to the tiny tabs. They are so small you have to work under a magnifying glass, he could solder to the tab but a couple of the connections were right next to each other and he couldn't keep them from bridging.

The other day when he installed one of the new amplifiers he couldn't get the sub-woofer part of it to work. In the reviews most people said the sub part worked great but there were a couple that said it didn't work. Today he replaced it with a different amplifier, he then spent a lot of time getting everything adjusted to where he was happy. After he was done he was planning to package up and return the amplifier that did not work correctly. He was looking at it and he thought the woofer connection didn't look correct. After further study he decided it didn't get plugged in correctly. He finally got it plugged in how the way he thought it should be. He hooked it up to some speakers he had laying around and sure enough the sub-woofer part now worked.

After all that he reinstalled it back in the pinball cabinet and sure enough it worked. He will put the other amplifier in the mini cabinet.

I played six pinball games on the mini cabinet because Larry was working on the bigger cabinet. The games were Aerosmith, Creature From The Black Lagoon, Tales of the Arabian Nights, The Big Lebowski, Goldeneye and Willy Wonka. I entered my initials in a couple of the games as high score number 1 because I was the only one who played the games. The games were The Big Lebowski and Willy Wonka. Both of those games use Larry's new VR cabinet and room. They look great.

When I woke up I played Pirate's Plunder on Bounce Arcade. I earned a silver trophy and defeated my enemies three different time.

I worked on my diamond painting of the Princess.

After Dave's dance we started to watch the second season of Beyond Paradise. Then I finished watching the second season of The Coroner, which was the last season of The Coroner. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 4th place in my group.
