Tuesday 2-11-25 Dancing C1/A2, Soldering & Diamond Painting

 

Raining Cats and Dogs

 

It rained all day. The rain came in last night and stayed around. The temperature in the morning was 48 degrees and only got to 50 degrees. We woke up to a hard rain. It was cold. 

When I woke up Larry was already playing with his soldering project. He had watched YouTube videos on how to solder and de-solder components from circuit boards. He also found three different articles on removing Bluetooth from the old amplifiers. There are multiple designs of these same amplifiers, from the outside they all look exactly the same and have all the same part numbers. He tried the first process he found and it did not work, he moved to the second and it also did not work. He is now working with the third one, it has been partially successful but he ran out of time. He will play with it a bit more tomorrow. 

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Spider Adventure of 20 games. It took me 2 hours, 16 minutes and 56 seconds, which put me in 11th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

We spent most of the day in Liberty Hill dancing C1 and A2. We left the house at 10:30 and got home at 4:15. Every Tuesday Kay and Bob Kurczewski open their home for dancers to come and dance A2 with John Kephart as the caller. We also do C1 via tapes. This week we danced C1 with Henry and Susan via Johnny Preston. We were very successful in getting through the tape. We danced C1 from 12:00 to 1:00. At 1:00 we danced A2 for two hours. We had enough dancers for two squares and an extra couple sitting out. John gave us cards, that told us which square to dance in. John worked on Scoot Chain Thru, Square Chain Thru and other moves we were having problems with. We had a super time dancing with friends.

On the way to the Ski's house we stopped at a convenience store and ate lunch in the car. It was still misting. By the time we got to the Ski's house there was a little fog. It stopped raining while we were dancing but came back in the evening.

When we got home I finished playing my games. I worked on my diamond painting of a Princess.

After dinner we finished watching the first season of Beyond Paradise. When Larry went to bed I continued watching the second season of The Coroner. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 5th place in my group.
