Sunset on Copan Lake
We had another super day. We woke up to temperatures in the 40's and the high was in the low 60's. The wind had gone down from yesterday but there was still a breeze.
I woke up at 7:15 and made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. After breakfast we relaxed until 9:30. Then we went to Bartlesville, which was about 20 miles away The ride was a two lane highway. While in town we walked to a couple of museums.
First was Bartlesville History Museum, it was located in the city hall building on the fifth floor. It's an old motel that was converted to the city hall. Bartlesville is a small city with a population of 37,290. It's notable for the longtime home of Phillips Petroleum Company. Frank Phillips founded the company in 1905 when the area was still Indian Territory. It merged with Conoco and both companies still have some operations in Bartlesville. The corporate offices have moved to Houston. As you walk around Bartlesville you still see a lot of Phillips 66 present.
The museum talked about the history of Bartlesville. I thought it was interesting to learn that when oil was discovered the Native Americans had the mineral rights so the companies had to purchase the rights to drill from the tribes. The Native Americans they had to work with were The Osage, The Cherokee and The Delaware. Before walking through the museum Denise summarized the history of Bartlesville and how the museum is setup. She was very knowledgeable. The museum was small but it was very interesting. It had a lot of exhibits telling the history of Bartlesville. One exhibit was about Hulah (Osage Indian language for eagle) depot, it was built by the Santa Fe Railroad as a feeder line from the main line. We had a great visit.

After leaving the museum we walked to our next museum, which was Price Tower. The tower was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It is a 19-story skyscraper landmark finished in 1956. It is the only high rise tower designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. He not only designed the building he also designed all of the furnishings. He worked triangles into much of the design making rooms and staircases interesting. The tower is located a few blocks from the history museum. The tower consist of an art museum, hotel and offices. The museum is on the first and second floor. The museum was about how the tower was built and how the interior was designed. There was also art from the local schools from all ages from PK to Middle School, they even included art from the kids teachers. The tower was built out of concrete and took a lot of time to build. They poured the concrete, dyed it and had to wait for it to dry. They did this floor by floor. The tour was cool and the art on display was amazing. We enjoyed it very much.

After doing the self-guided tour we walked around the grounds. Then headed back to the Minnie.
By the time we got back to the Minnie it was 12:30. We moved down the road to Remi's Arcade and Bistro to have lunch and play pinball.
Remi's is a very nice bar and grill. It has nine pinball machines, some arcade games, bar and grill. We were told to seat ourselves. The service wasn't that good, we had to wait to the get menus. The waitress had to be told to take our order. We ordered the Mama Nachos. It took a long time to get our food, we were playing pinball when it was brought to our table. Larry had to find the waitress to get silverware and napkins. The nachos were very good. Our waitress didn't ask us how the food was. She showed up to give us our bill. Larry had to guess how to pay for the bill. The waitress wasn't that good but the atmosphere was great. It was very clean. The pinball machines were in good shape and played super. We played Dead Pool, Foo Fighters, Godzilla, Avengers and Cactus Canyon. Cactus Canyon was the first game I played. I played it a long time and got to entered my initials. I played most of the games. Larry played two or three games. I forgot to wear my pinball tee shirt. We had a super time playing pinball.

After playing pinball for about an hour we went back to the Minnie.
On the way back to the campground Larry surprised me by taking me to a casino. It was another Osage Casino. It was new and large. You can smell the smoke from people smoking. You would think they would have built a non-smoking area inside of a brand new casino. This didn't stop me from gambling for an hour and a half. I gave them my $20 dollars but had fun. While I gambled Larry read in the Minnie.
After giving the casino my money we went back to the campground. We stopped by the dam and checked out the hiking trail. There was way too much water on the trail, you can see the water from the road. We won't be hiking. We 're a little disappointed.
When we got back to our site the camp hosts were cleaning the site. The lady said they only found out we were going to be there late yesterday and didn't have time to clean it. We told her it was ok. Larry backed the Minnie into the site. Before we left in the morning Larry had put rocks and a branch in the site to let him know where to put the Minnie to be level. This helped a lot. He plugged the Minnie in and we were back in business. He visited with the host for a little bit.
We weren't that hungry so we didn't eat dinner until 8:00. This is late for us we just had a sandwich.
Before going to town I played the Daily Solitaire Challenges. I started to play the event and finished when we got back. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 10 minutes and 56 seconds, which put my 23rd place in my group. After playing games I walked around the campground for an hour and a half to get my steps. I ended up doing 16,500 steps, which kept me in 1st place in my group.
