Awesome Weekend

This morning we ended an awesome weekend of square dancing to Jerry Story and round dancing to Walter Brewer. The Log Cabin Swingers served us a delicious breakfast and Jerry Story sang a few Gospel songs. Then we had an amazing closing dance. There were eight squares of dancers and a few round dancers. The dance started at 9:30 and ended at 11:00. Larry and I are known for wearing hats but this morning we forgot them in the Minnie so the other dancers needled us about not wearing hats. One of the dancers had told me that she had a hat for me, she saved the day by bringing it to me. We had an awesome weekend dancing and visiting with friends.

We got back to the house at 2:00 and unloaded the Minnie. A couple of hours later Larry was reading the weekend newspapers and in the ads found a Black Friday deal on a TV that we have been thinking about getting. Our current TV is about 7 years old and there is nothing wrong with it but Larry thought it would be nice to have a larger one. We had looked at TV's a couple of months ago and really liked the Samsung curved screen. In today's paper Target's had the Samsung 55" curved television for the lowest price he had seen it and they had a $70.00 gift card to go with it. Before he ordered one from Target he went to Amazon and found they had dropped their price to be the same price as Target but without the gift card. Larry went online and found that the Target in Temple had a couple in stock so he ordered one. When he received an e-mail that told him that the order was ready we went and picked it up. Larry spent the evening setting the television up and getting to know how it works. Compared to our old one it is huge, it works great and now I will have to learn how to use it with my Wii.. The stand that came with the television hangs over our television table so Larry ordered another type of stand for it.

We're exhausted from all the dancing we did but the weekend was awesome.
