2-9 Life is Great

Life is great
Yesterday I talked about Larry working on some of our administrative issues and today it continues. We have an aerobic septic system and the county requires we have a contract with an inspection company to ensure that it is functioning correctly, they check the system every four months and report the results to the county. When our system was installed we had a two year contract that is coming up for renewal. Larry wanted to compare other companies prices so he got a list of certified septic inspectors from the county. He found all were significantly less expensive than our current company. All of these companies are very small mom and pop type of operations. He decided to go with All About Septic but their secretary was out of town due to a death in her family. We were not in a hurry but by the time we got back to town he had not heard back from her so he called. She emailed him the forms and he asked if someone would be in the office so he could drop them off, she said yes except for lunchtime. After receiving the forms we loaded Flo into the car and into town we went. When we got to the office no one was there so we went grocery shopping and came back, still no one there so he called her and left a message. When she didn't call he called the owner and he told us that she had an emergency and had to leave but she would be in tomorrow morning. The next morning the owner emailed saying she had a car accident last night and wouldn't be in until late. Larry waited until about 1:00 and called. The owner was at the office so we went and paid for the contract. The secretary apologized for not calling. Next they have to notify the county and tell them we have a contract. Sounds like the poor woman has no luck at all.

I'm still not feeling very well so I spent a lot of the day in bed.

Larry worked on a couple of Home Depot Seeds projects, replaced the electrical plug on the Minnie and removed the city water supply inlet from the Minnie, it has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

In the evening we watched the last episode of The West, which was called One Sky Above Us. This episode was about The West during 1887 to 1914. This was about the migration of Mexicans to Los Angels. Los Angels grow so fast that it ran out of water and they had to find water. Two men came to Los Angels and bought the water rights around the area. The people of Los Angels passed the biggest bond ever to build a irrigation system to get water. It was a very good documentary on The West. Afterwards we watched TED TV.
