Nevada’s Welcome Sign
We spent five great days visiting family in Tucson and it was time to move on. The next stop was in Lake Havasu City at the London Bridge. This was our very first time in Lake Havasu City so we were exciting. On the way we stopped by a cool Shell station, it had dinosaurs statues and other nick-knacks. London Bridge is Arizona’s second-biggest tourist attraction after the Grand Canyon. The London Bridge was purchased in London by Robert P. McCulloch in 1968 and disassembled before being shipped to Lake Havasu City from England. Before disassembling the bridge each block was numbered so it could be reassembled correctly. If you’re into shopping there were gifts shops and snack bars along the river where the London Bridge is. Larry and I aren’t into shopping but we did stop in at the visitor center to get some information. Larry knew that the Air Chair Company was in Havasu City so we stopped by to check it out. While there we were shown around the manufacturing area and learned about how they made an Air Chair. We picked up a couple of replacement parts for our Air Chair.

Larry was tired but he decided to surprise me by taking me to Laughlin Nevada. We camped in the Riverside Casino Resort parking lot, they have a great non-smoking casino area where I enjoyed spending a few hours of my time.
