Wednesday 7-16-25 Dancing, Puzzle, Reading & More

 

Awesome Day

 

We had an awesome day. We're feeling a lot better but still not perfect.

I attended two virtual square dances. First was Ett McAtee's Weekly C1 at 1:00 for an hour. Loren Smith from Canada covered for Ett because she was calling in person in New Jersey. We were feeling better and thought we should start doing something to make us feel even better. Larry decided to attend the dance with me because Loren is a great caller and helps when necessary. We were the only couple so Larry danced the whole dance. Loren called five tips of C1 to 9 participants. I made a few mistakes but Loren got me back to where I belong. We didn't move too fast and had a super time dancing to Loren and with friends.

Second was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 for an hour and a half. Dave called by himself because Karin Rabe and Greg Moore were calling elsewhere. Dave did an excellent job of calling three tips of C1 to 7 participants, three tips of A2 to 8 participants and two trivia question in between the A2 tips. I had a great time dancing to Dave and with friends.

Larry started a book and didn't care for it so he stopped after reading about a 1/3 of it. He started another and he's not sure if he likes it or not.

In between the dances I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango of 20 games (10 Klondike and 10 Free Cell). It took me 1 hour, 45 minutes and 31 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group. I played some Angry Birds.

I continued working on the birdhouses jigsaw puzzle.

I played four games of pinball. I played the weekly challenge of Truck Stop and was unsuccessful in getting a new high score. The high score I have now I'm in 20th place out of 37 participants. The other three were Big Bang Bar, Big Lebowski and Cactus Canyon. I didn't get on the board but I had fun.

I played one game of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade. I earned a gold trophy and played four multiballs (Jailhouse Break twice, Saloon, Post and Safe Crack). I played the events many times (the barrels three times, gunfight twice, safe crack once and the deputy shootout once). I was successful in cracking the safe and defeating the deputies. When I play the barrels I'm playing longer but not fast enough.

After the last dance we watched Angel and Demons out of our movies collection. When Larry went to bed I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I ended up doing 2,500 steps, I'm slowly move back to my 12,000 steps daily goal.
