Friday 7-18-25 Errands, Reading, Games & Getting Better

Happy Friday. Have a great weekend.

We're getting better. It feels more like a head cold or allergies. We feel very well during the day but when the sun goes down the allergies kick in.

We started the day out by going to town. We hadn't checked our mail for three weeks. First stop was at the Little Bohemian Bakery for a cinnamon roll but they were out of cinnamon rolls, this was 10 minutes to 9:00 am. They were sold out of everything but one pastry. First time we have seen this. Then we stopped at the UPS Store and got our mail. There wasn't much. Afterwards we went to Walmart to do a little grocery shopping. Then we went home.

 

Doing errands

Larry started the book The Martian. We have the movie and Larry wanted to read the book. He said so far it's very scientific with lots of facts on biochemistry. 

 

Relaxing with a book

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango of 20 games (10 Spider and 10 Tri Peaks). It took me 2 hours, 9 minutes and 16 seconds, which put me in 19th place in my group. I played Angry Birds and Angry Birds and Friends.

I ended up playing seven pinball games. I played Truck Stop, Theatre of Magic, Big Bang Bar, JP Space Cadet, Great Houdini, Time Lord and Big Lebowski. While playing Time Lord I entered my initials as high score #4.

I continued working on the Birdhouses jigsaw puzzle.

I was going to go to Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance at 6:30 for an hour. I tried to log in for over 15 minutes and gave up. Ett wrote an e-mail about 7:00, she said she fixed the problem and if we wanted to dance she would call. I had moved onto watching television with Larry.

We watched Ford VS Ferrari from our movies collection. When Larry went to bed I watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
