Sunday 7-13-25 Speaker Repair, New Pinball Challenge & Covid

Happy Sunday. We had a wonderful Sunday.

Larry started the day out by making blueberry pancakes. I didn't get up until 8:45 and breakfast was waiting for me. Larry was already doing a project.

For the last five years we have been virtual square dancing through Zoom using our desk computer and speakers. We bought these speakers about 25 years ago. Awhile back one of the two speakers quit so we have only been using one. Lately when dancing we have been having to raise the volume almost all the way up and sometimes we still have problems hearing. Larry had said when we got back from our trip he was going to fix it one way or another. This morning he did some experimenting and discovered the amplifier built into the speakers was not working correctly. He had an amplifier laying around from one of his electronic projects. He modified the speakers to use this amplifier, not only did it fix the sound volume issue it also got the other speaker working. With the new amplifier the speakers again sound terrific and will get really loud. 

I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. Th event was Event: Klondike Mini of 10 games. It took me 30 minutes and 47 seconds, which put me in 10th place in my group. I played Angry Birds. 

I continued working on the Birdhouses jigsaw puzzle.

It has been about a week since I tested positive for Covid so I took another test. It came back positive again. I'm feeling a lot better but I still get winded if I move too fast.

Today is the beginning of a new Weekly Pinball Challenge. The new game is Truck Stop. Larry downloaded the new game and installed it in both 2D and VR on the cabinet. Then he played it to make sure it worked. It has a cool VR room, which looks like a truck stop diner. It's a hard game but looks good. I didn't play the last week's challenge. The challenge was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I came in 46th out of 71 participants. My first high score in Truck Stop was 754,760, which puts me in 9th out of 11 participants so far.

In the evening we relaxed in front of the television and watched our YouTube videos. We also watched two movies from our movies collection, which were Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald. When Larry went to bed I started watching the Harry Potter movie series from of movies collection. The first one was Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone.

When Larry went to bed the rain came in. It came down heavy for a little while. It stopped about 11:00.
