Happy Friday
Happy Friday. We had a great day. I am feeling a little bit better, Larry is about the same. As long as he moves slow or is sitting down he does fine.
While we were in San Francisco Google started a battery replacement program for some of their Pixel 6a phones. If your phone qualified you could choose from three options: 1. They would replace the battery. 2. They would give you $100. 3. They would give you $150 credit on the purchase of a new Google phone. Larry checked and my phone qualified. He bought it for me when I was going on a square dance cruise about 1.5 years ago. It was a "reconditioned" phone but it looked brand new and has worked perfectly.
Three months ago Google came out with the Pixels 9a phone and starting on Prime day they were discounting it $50. Since my phone qualified for $150 credit and we could also get $80 for it by trading it in we decided to buy a new Pixel 9a. We received the new phone yesterday and Larry started setting it up. He continued to work on it this morning. Setting up new phones is a real process. Our watches and even our VR headsets are tied to the phone so even those have to be re-configured. Larry got it finished this morning. I am sure we will stumble on a app or two that still needs something.
Back in early May Larry had ordered two smart blinds, one for the living room and one for the dining room. The dining room blind arrived fairly quickly but the living room blind (which is much larger) was on back order. The blind arrived at the same time as the new phone.
We are still fighting Covid but Larry thought if he was careful to not overexert himself he could get it installed. He had to remove the old blind. Then he adjusted the frame of the new blind to fit inside the window opening. Next using a cutter supplied by the manufacture he cut the blind material to size. From there he laid the new blind on the master bed so we could work on finishing it. Once the blind was rolled out he had to finish cutting the blind to size. Next we worked on the bottom of the blind by stapling on a strip so it could fit in a rod to give it a little weight. Once the blind was rolled back up we installed the blind in the window. When it was installed Larry calibrated the blind to go up and down. It works great. Final step was programming the blind on Alexa so she could open and close the blind. It looks great and works perfect. When I ask her to open or close the living room blind she does. Or I can ask her to open the blinds and she will open both the living room and dining room blinds.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong and got caught up in the Mahjong games. I did the event, which was Event: Easy Street Mini of 15 games. It took me 25 minutes and 21 seconds, which put me in 22nd place in my group. Then I played some Angry Birds.
We were getting low on a few items so we had Walmart do another home delivery.

In the afternoon I played seven games. They were Nightmare Before Christmas, Cirqus Voltaire, Jaws, Big Bang Bar, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars Trilogy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
