Saturday 4-6 Challenging Day of Dancing

Awesome Day

The day started out with a small rain shower and it was humid all day. It got up to the mid 80's. 

We had an awesome day of dancing with Bill Haynes. The first session was a C1 workshop from 10 to 12. We had exactly three squares so we had to dance all the tips. Bill went over Vertical Tag, Linear Action, Tally Ho and other moves from positions that were very challenging. Then we had a two hour break for lunch. The second session was an A2 workshop from 2-4. We were short one person to make a fourth square. Our friends Robert an Renee were there. It was nice to see them considering we hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving. Lois and John from Sun City and Stephanie were there. Bill went through Chain Reaction and other moves. He made the workshop very interesting. We were out one tip but C.D. asked us if we would like to dance a square with one Phantom. We said sure we needed to practice dancing with Phantoms. We did great. There was a C1 Star Tips after the workshop but we passed because we were exhausted. We had a three hour break before returning to the dance floor for a two hour A2 dance. A few of the dancers from the afternoon workshop weren't there but a few more showed up. We ended up having exactly enough people for four squares. We did stay for the C1 Star Tips. The first one went well but the second one we had some problems. I think we were tired and also three of us were new C1 dancers. We had a great time dancing with friends and to Bill Haynes.
