April Fools' Day

We had another cool day. It didn't get out of the low 60's but the sun was shining and no wind.

We started the day out by going to Walmart to get a couple more bags of mulch to finish up the tree in the backyard. Next stop was the Dollar Tree and then across the parking lot to HEB. The last stop was Aldi, which was just down the street, we bought some baby back ribs.

After lunch I went outside and spread the mulch. Then Larry and I worked on the Home Depot Seeds Program. Larry needs to review a Milwaukee Switch Tank sprayer, it is a four gallon, battery powered chemical sprayer that you wear on your back. Larry put a gallon of water in the tank and then connected it to the back pack section. The tank has a battery operated pump with a speed adjusting valve. The tank comes with two different nozzles, one brass and the other plastic. He played with the brass nozzle first. The spray can be adjusted from a stream to a fan shape. He played with adjusting the nozzle and the speed to see how the spray dispersed. Then he played with the plastic nozzle, it wasn't adjustable but worked ok. He put the brass nozzle back on to see if it could spray all the way to the eves on the back of the house, they are about 15 feet high, it worked very well. It would be beneficial if the hose had a quick connect, you can easily remove the tank from the sprayer but the hose is always connected to the tank. Another concern is the weight, the sprayer is pretty heavy and when you fill it even partially it is even heavier. The next product Larry needs to review is a Milwaukee Polyester Fish 50' Tape. If you need to pull wire through a pipe or maybe a wall it would come in handy. We had fun playing with both products.

We normally go to Sun City's square dance on Mondays but when it came time to get ready to go we just didn't feel like going. We stayed home and started watching the 8th season of Poirot via Amazon. I watched the second episode of Murphy's Law.
