Thursday 10-11 Fall Into The Heartland Weekend Dance

Square Dancing 

Our day started out overcast, by the afternoon the sun was out, however, it was still a bit cool so we put on a light jacket, perfect.

We didn't leave the campground until noon. We were only going 10 miles to the Clarion Hotel in Sharonville, Ohio, which is in the North Cincinnati Area. On the way out we dumped our tanks and topped off our fresh water tank. Fortunately the Clarion will let us "camp" in their parking lot. We will be dry camping for the next four or five days.

This is the first year we have attended the Fall into Heartland A2, C1, C2, C3A and C3B weekend so it's very exciting. We'll be dancing A2 with six different callers (Bill Haynes, Todd Fellegy, Ross Howell, Ben Rubright, Darryl Lipscomb and Bronc Wise). 

In the evening we attended the opening dance from 8:00 to 10:30. We danced with people we had never danced with and others we have danced with. There are a lot of dancers, the "A" hall has the least amount. We had three squares and two extra couples. We danced to Todd Fellegy, Ben Rubright, Darryl Lipscomb, Bronc Wise and Bill Haynes. The dance areas are carpeted which makes dancing a bit difficult because your shoes  don't slide.
