Saturday 8-9-25 Mowing, Smoke, Games and Reading

Happy Saturday. I hope everyone is well. We had another hot day with the high of 97 degrees but it wasn't as smokey as yesterday. We can still smell the smoke a little bit but we could breathe better.

Our mowers didn't show up to mow this week. We may have to change to another company We have used this company for about 13 years but they have become unreliable. When Larry calls they come out but since we go out of town six weeks at a time twice a year we need to be able to rely on them to show up.

After lunch Larry decided to go out and mow the frontyard. I joined him and weedeated and blew off the driveway. He mowed the frontyard and our neighbor Jason's frontyard closest to our yard. When they mow their yard they tend to mow ours so Larry figured it was time to return the favor. Larry also mowed part of the backyard because it was getting tall. I edged around the driveway and weedeated around the septic tanks. Then I blew out the single bay of the garage, the driveway, front porch and off the mower. It took us about 45 minutes to do the yardwork. The yard looks great.

Larry finished another book and started another one. 

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: The Hard Road of 16 games. It took me 1 hour, 38 minutes and 59 seconds, which put me in 9th place in my group. I played Angry Birds.

I took a nap for an hour and a half. I didn't workout but I did play pinball. I played seven different games. I played The Big Lebowski, The Godfather, The Fun House, Willy Wonka, Great Houdini, Jaws and Batman The Dark Knight. While playing The Godfather I put my initials in as high score #4 and Jaws I put my initials in as high score #1. My score hasn't been excepted yet, which was 87,386,90. This score will but me in 40th place out of 63 participants. I had a great time.

I continued working on the Playground jigsaw puzzle.

In the evening we continued watching the first season of Professor T on PBS. When Larry went to bed I watched Top Gun out of our movies collection. I ended up doing 3,500 steps.
