Friday 8-8-25 Bad Air Quality, Dancing & Workout

 

Smile It's Friday

Due to wildfires in the west and Canada a huge part of the United States has issues with smoke. We are even being affected. In the afternoon the smoke smell was stronger. We have three air purifiers that run most of the time. One in the bedroom and two in the living room. Even with that the smoke was bothersome. 

The smoke was so bad Larry wore a mask while he read.

I spent most of the day working on the Playground jigsaw puzzle.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 23 minutes and 43 seconds, which put me in 11th place in my group. I played Angry Birds and Friends (two Challenges) and Angry Birds.

I worked out with my Wii Fit for a half hour and the Synth Riders for a half hour. While doing the Synth Riders I wore a mask because I had a hard time breathing during the workout with the Wii Fit. By wearing the mask I breathed better.

I did one game of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade. I earned a gold trophy and earned an extra ball. I played the events eight times and was successful in completing two events, which were safe crack and gunfight. I played safe crack (1), gunfight (1), barrels barrage (3) and quick drawl (3). I played multiball five time. I did the jailhouse break (3), wooden sign rally (2), saloon (1) and safe crack (1). I had a great game.

Yesterday I forgot to mention that my pinball machine wouldn't turn on. I tried to turn it on so I could get a better picture of my new high score for the weekly challenge of Batman but it wouldn't turn on. Larry took the pinball cabinet in his workroom to work on it. He thought maybe it was the power cable but it tested fine. He took the monitor out of the cabinet and checked out the wires and connections. Everything looked good. He discovered that the main power switch had apparently shorted out. A couple of the connectors had obviously been very hot. This switch has a fuse but the fuse did not pop. Larry had an extra switch that he installed. Then it worked great. He used the same switch in all his jukeboxes, two pinball machines and the arcade cabinet. He will have to order another so has an extra on hand.

I played seven different games of pinball. They were Batman The Dark Knight, Aerosmith, The Addams Family, The Great Houdini, Big Bang Bar, Fish Tales and Willy Wonka. I got a new high score for the weekly challenge of Batman The Dark Knight. The new high score put me in 36th place out of 55 participants. I put my initials on the Aerosmith board. I had a great time.

We usually have a frozen pizza for our Friday dinner but tonight we had soup. We tried a new soup from Progresso, Smokehouse-Style Grilled Chicken & Potato with Roasted Vegetables. It was very tasty. 

In the evening I attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance at 6:30 for an hour. She called four tips to 8 participants. It was a small group but we had fun. I danced by myself.

After the dance we started to watch the first season of Professor T again on PBS. Then I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides from our movies collection. I ended up doing 2,000 steps.
