Saturday 8-16-25 Trip Preparation Begins & More

 

Hot Humid Day

 

We had some sad news today from Shirley (Larry's mother). She told us one of her dogs (Pooh Bear) died Monday. We were sorry to hear and he'll be missed.

We had another hot humid day with the high of 99 degrees and humidity of 40%.

Larry started the day out by washing the Minnie. He was working on it when I got up at 8:00 am. He finished around 10:00 am. It was hot, humid and pretty miserable but he kept at it. Normally I help but today I was doing other stuff.  He washed the roof and worked himself around the Minnie. It wasn't too dirty but he likes to start our trip with the Minnie clean. 

 

While Larry worked on washing the Minnie I started loading it up. I started in the bathroom, where I put the paper products in the shower. I took the shaving kit in the house to put what we needed to restock in it. Next I filled the pantry with soup. Then I made the bed. I worked on this a couple of hours. 

 

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 5 games. It took me 10 minutes and 3 seconds, which put me in 27th place in my group. I played Angry Birds and Friends and Angry Birds 2.

 

I worked on my jigsaw puzzle of the Playground. I hope to finish it by the time we leave for the trip.

 

I worked out with the Synth Riders of a half hour. 

 

While I was working out Amazon delivered our new clock for the Minnie. It is bigger and the numbers are large. We think the new clock will work better because we can see the numbers better. It will fit in the same place as the old clock was.

I played three games of Monster Manor on Bounce Arcade for a half hour. Two of the games I earned a bronze trophy. The last game was the best, where I woke the manor two times but stunned it once. I played with the Jack-O-Lanterns and got the spider to come out but didn't kill him. I busted the banister. It wasn't a great game but it was fun.

I played seven different games of pinball. They were The Big Lebowski, James Bond 60th Anniversary, Mission Impossible, JP Space Cadet, Willie Wonka, Tales of the Arabian Nights and NBA Fast Break. While playing NBA Fast Break I got a new high score for the weekly challenge of 131, which put me tied with two other people for 48th place out of 64 participants.

While I played games Larry read. 

 

In the evening we continued watching the fourth season of Professor T on PBS. Then I watched Chocolat from our movies collection. I ended up doing 3,500 steps.
