Monday 8-11-25 Dancing, Music Project & More

Happy Monday

We had a wonderful day. It was beautiful with sunshine and a high of 96 degrees. There was a lot of smoke in the air. The smoke went all the way down to Austin.

We started the day out by attending Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly C1 dance at 9:00 for an hour and fifteen minutes. Di called five tips to 15 participants. The songs she picked to call to was about being warm. On Mondays we have a thing going on with Di about calling touches. She's British and has a beautiful accent and the dancers like to hear it. When she calls touch right or left, she means to touch to a wave. Then the dancers celebrate. Today she called 12 of them. She called Relay-The Shadow and Motivate, which are four couple moves she doesn't call to often. Larry danced four of the tips with me. Some reason I had some problems and he helped me get to the right place. Di is great in cueing the move, this helps a lot. Yesterday was Terry's 90th birthday so we sang Happy Birthday to him. Zoom has an icon, that's called reactions. This icon will have figures floating in your box. The dancers played with it. They had birthday cakes, chicks, pandas, hearts and other items floating around. We had a great time dancing with friends.

Having fun with friends

Larry spent the day working on a music project. He's in the process of loading Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Show from our music collection to the jukebox. It's going to take him awhile to load all the files.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Tri Peaks Adventure of 20 games. It took me 1 hour, 14 minutes and 12 seconds, which put me in 10th place in my group. I played Angry Birds.

After lunch we went to town to pickup a package waiting for us at the UPS Store. Before going to the UPS Store we went to Walmart to pick up a few things. Depending on the smoke we plan to leave on our Fall Trip a week from Thursday, we are normally gone 6-8 weeks. We're going to celebrate all of our birthdays (Louise, Larry and mine) on Sunday. The package waiting for us is our birthday gifts from Shirley (Larry's mom). She also sent us peanut butter Rice Krispy Treats. We munched on them all evening and they were delicious. We didn't have any other mail. We had to stand in line and it was almost out the door because it was lunchtime. They a had four people working at the UPS Store so the line moved fast.

I worked on the Playground jigsaw puzzle most of the day.

I worked out with the Synth Riders for a half hour. Today it worked perfect.

Working Out

I played three games of Monster Manor on Bounce Arcade. I earned a bronze trophy in all of them. Below is the best game. I woke up the manor, stunned the manor once and tried two times. I hit the clock three times and fought the jack-o-lanterns. I busted the banister and fought the ghosts in order to work on stunning the manor. I earned the skeleton key. I had fun.

I played seven different games of pinball. I did get on the board or get a new high score on NBA Fast Break but had a super time. The games were Indianapolis 500, Dark Chaos, Mustang, Space Lord, JP Space Cadet, NBA Fast Break and No Fear.

In the evening we continued watching the second season of Professor T on PBS. When Larry went to bed I watched Twister from our movies collection. I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
