Wednesday 3-12-25 Jukebox Project, Three Dances & Games

Awesome Day

We had an awesome day. Due to high winds and elevated temperatures The National Weather Service issued a fire watch warning. We had a high temperature of 87 degrees.

Larry spent the day working on the Rowe and the red Rock Ola jukeboxes. The larger monitors he installed drew a bit too much power thru the Raspberry Pi's making them reboot at startup. He has been working on figuring out what the problem is and coming up with a solution. Today he fixed the jukeboxes by installing a second relay and no longer powering the monitors via the Pi's.

He also received a new miniature Pi device from Amazon. In the evening he played with it to see how it works. He got a couple of errors and got on the computer to do some investigation on the errors. Other people had the same errors and other people wrote how to fix them. He had a fun day.

I attended three virtual square dances.

First dance was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus. This week it was at 11:00 for an hour. Di and Terry took turns calling five tips to 10 participants. They both did an excellent job of calling, cueing and dancing the dance. Di cued on a few four couple moves, which were Spin Chain The Gears, Load The Boat and Coordinate. The music was great and made you dance to it and Di sang while calling. She has a beautiful voice. I had a super time dancing with friends.

Second was Ett McAtee's Weekly C1 at 1:00 for an hour. This week she called five tips to 19 participants. Michael danced the whole dance even though he was suffering with allergies. Claude from Canada also danced when he wasn't feeling well because he had a cold. Ett doesn't cue. Sometimes we wish she would cue because she calls very complex sequences. I had fun dancing to Ett and friends.

Third was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 for an hour and a half. Karin Rabe and Greg Moore helped call the dance. The format was three tips of C1, three tips of A2 and two trivia questions in between the A2 tips. Karin and Greg called together a tip in C1 and A2, Dave called a tip in C1 and A2 and the third tip in C1 and A2 all three took turns calling. We had an outstanding time dancing with friends.

When I wasn't dancing I did this and that. Larry worked on his jukeboxes.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 44 minutes and 23 seconds to complete, which put me in 29th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I worked out with the Wii Fit for a half hour.

I played four games of pinball. They were Tales of the Arabian Nights, Spiderman, Metallica and Cactus Canyon. While playing Tales of the Arabian Nights I collected all seven jewels to try to rescue the princess but failed to hit the genie to start the challenge. Spiderman I entered my initials as high score #3.

Yesterday, when I entered my high score in the weekly challenge it was rejected by one of  the administrators because he thought it was the wrong version of the game because the flippers were yellow instead of white. Larry wrote explaining that it was the the game they provided the link for. He worked on changing the color of the flippers to make sure there was no question of the game. He was successful. I played the game a few times. I didn't get a new high score but the administrator did accept the high score I submitted.

I worked on the Butterfly Flowers diamond painting.

After the last dance we watched Sonic 3 on Paramount +. I watched Aladdin out of our movies collection. Then I finished watching the first season of Bloodlands. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 4th place in my group.
