8-11 Another Super Day!!!!!

Water Sports
I woke up this morning feeling great so Larry and I went to the lake. When we got to the lake it was breezy but the lake was flat on the north bank so we idled across the lake. The water was too calm not to water ski so out came the ski and we both skied. We hadn't wake boarded much this year so after skiing we wake boarded. We rested a little while and then decided to do a bit of wake-surfing. Today I did a couple of 360 turns on the surfboard. Well, not exactly, at the end of the first 360 I took a dive forward and fell and at the end of the second 360 I pulled on the rope and down I went. That was the end of surfing for today. Once in the boat we idled back to the boat ramp. After wiping down the boat we headed home. We had a fantastic day on the lake.

After lunch I read a little and helped Larry with his home project. The home project was putting a transition under the seal of the shower door, hopefully this will keep the water inside the shower. The transition he used wasn't exactly what he needed so he had to modify it. First of all Larry had to remove the shower door. So he went to YouTube and watched a video on how to do that. Once the door was off he measured the length he needed and then he cut the transition to size he needed. Then he cut a notch in it so it could fit around the edge of the door. Next he drilled a hole in it so he could put the door back on. Once the transition was modified he glued it down to the marble. Tomorrow we'll find out if this stops the water from leaking on the floor. I helped him when he needed help.

The other day on 60 minutes we watched a report on TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design). It's a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation. People talk about scientific, culture and academic topics. The speakers do this through storytelling and are limited to the maximum of 18 minutes. This evening we watched of few of the stories and we thought they were very informative and entertaining. Some topics were approached through comedy. We also watched a documentary called Happy. We have seen it before but we still enjoyed watching it again because it talked about what made people happy. After the documentary was over Larry and I went to town to do our weekly grocery shopping. While in town we stopped by Sonic and had a shake for our dessert. We had a super day.
