Thursday 12-11-25 Dentist, Trip Preparation, Dash Camera & More

 

Smile and have fun

 

We had a busy day of doing this and that. The temperature was beautiful with the low of 33 degrees and the high was 68 degrees. We had a little wind. 

We started out by going to town. 

I had an appointment with the dentist at 8:30 am to get an impression for the crown on my implant. While he had me numbed up he filled a cavity, which was right next to my other implant. The dentist said this is common because the implant doesn't move but the tooth next to it can. The cavity was big it was deep. I was in the chair for about an hour and Larry waited for me in the waiting room.

Next was the UPS Store to pickup another package from Shirley. 

After picking up the package we went to Walmart to go grocery shopping.

We have been having morning temperature in the 30's & 40's and highs in the 60's along with lots of sunshine, perfect for camping. It appears this weather is going to hang around for a bit so we decided to go camping trip in Texas. After going grocery shopping we swung by the storage center and picked up the Minnie. 

On the way home Larry stopped and filled it up with gas. When he got home he backed it on the side of the house to fill it up with water. Then he moved it in front of the single bay of the garage. We started to get it ready. It won't take long because the trip is only going to be for a week.

After putting some items in the Minnie I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Spider and 3 Free Cell). It took me 11 minutes and 49 seconds, which put me in 5th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

We have had a dash camera in the car for many years, the other day Larry checked on it and discovered it had not been recording for years, we would see it come on and just assumed it was working. Larry decided to order a new one to replace it. While I was unloading the car it was delivered via Amazon. So Larry has a new toy to play with. While I played games he started to play with the dash camera. Before Larry bought the dash cam he watched YouTube videos about different dash cameras. He also did research on the internet. He decided to get a VanTrue Element, it is designed to go on your windshield with an adhesive backing but Larry uses a stand that sits on the dash allowing it to easily move from the car the the Minnie.

Yesterday, I wrote about the Alexa Echo Hub below is a picture of it. It's design to go on the wall so it's a lot thinner then the other Alexa Echos. Larry doesn't want to put it on the wall so he put it on a stand. It's working great and we're having fun talking to Alexa.

I played seven pinball games; Creature From The Black Lagoon, Fish Tales, Guardians of the Galaxy, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Phantom of the Opera and Queen. I didn't get on the board playing pinball but had fun.

In the evening we watched another movie on Kanopy called Colette. It was based on the life of the French novelist Colette. It starred Keira Knightley as Gabrielle Colette. It was a good movie. After Larry went to bed I watched The Sound of Music from our collection of movies. I ended up doing 6.500 steps.
