Happy Monday
Today was just another manic Monday. Our weather was a little chilly with a breeze out of the north. The morning temperature was 29 degrees and the high was 55 degrees.
We started the day out by attending Di Green and Terry McCann's weekly C1 dance at 9:00 am for an hour. This week Loren Smith called the dance because Di and Terry had another commitment. Loren called four tips to 11 participants. He worked on moves that the dancers were having problems with. They were four couple moves: Relay The Top, Pass The Axle, Linear Action, Cross and Turn and Reverse Cross and Turn. Some of the moves are very difficult to see when you dance with six or seven phantoms. Larry danced with me and we had a great time.
We love square dancing
After the dance we went to town to do a couple of errands. First we stopped at Great Cuts so Larry could get his hair cut. The lady, who cut his hair cut it shorter than normal so he doesn't have to go back for awhile. While he was getting his haircut I walked next door to the UPS Store to check our mail. We had one post card. Next stop was the post office to buy stamps and mail Christmas cards and gifts out.

Last week Larry found out that the first home automation light switches he purchased are being cancelled. At the end of January they will no longer be able to be controlled via voice but they will still work manually. These switches are about eight years old and we have four of them.
Last week he ordered a couple new switches to replace them. These new switches can use traditional wifi for their connection or they can use a new technology called Thread/Matter. These are his first Thread/Matter devices so this morning he started playing with configuring them via both Home Assistant and Alexa. He has them working via wifi and Matter, they were much easier to configure than the old switches. In order to get them working via Thread and Matter he will need a new device that has a Thread border router.
While Larry did his electronic project I played games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Medium Mayhem Mini of 5 games. It took me 8 minutes and 52 seconds, which put me in 4th place in my group. I played Angry Birds 2 and Angry Birds Friends.
I played four games of pinball, which were Phantom of the Opera, The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings and Space Lord. While playing The Godfather I became high score #4 and Space Lord I became high score #2. I had a great day of pinball.

I worked out with my Wii Fit for a half hour. When I started the workout the Wii told me it had been 122 days since I used it. My legs felt like it had been that long. I had fun.
I like my Wii Fit
After working out I did one game of Monster Manor on Bounce Arcade for 15 minutes. I earned a silver trophy, Woken the Manor twice, Stunned the Manor once and played the spider multiball once. I played better than I thought because my first ball didn't last long.

We had a lot of wildlife activity today. At lunchtime we had a herd of eight deer walk through the backyard. When I went outside to barbecue sausage links for dinner I saw an owl perched on a branch of our big oak tree in the backyard. Early in the evening the fox walked down the driveway. While we were watching television deer walked through the backyard and bedded down for a bit.

In the evening we watched a movie on Kanopy called Vita & Virginia. It was a biographical movie about a love affair and friendship between Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Wolfe. They were both writers from different London circles. They both had an open marriage which was very difficult in the 1920's. It was a bit difficult to follow and understand but it was a good movie. Then I watched Skyfall, which is the last James Bond movie we have in our collection of movies. I ended up doing 4,000 steps.
