Wednesday 11-5-25 Virtual Square Dancing Day & Quick Projects

We had a beautiful day with sunshine. It feels great with the temperatures in the high 70's. Today it got up to 80 degrees. In the afternoon a breeze came up, which made it very nice.

In the morning Larry did a few quick projects, which were treating for weeds in the gravel, treating fire ant hills, breaking down boxes to put in the trash container, he also installed our freeze protectors and covers on the outdoor water spickets. On Wednesdays our trash gets collected so Larry got rid of his boxes.

I attended three virtual square dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00am for an hour. They were out of town so Loren Smith covered for them. Loren called four tips to 7 participants. The last two tips he worked shopped a couple of moves, which were Spin Chain and Exchange the Gears and Linear Cycle from Waves. He worked shopped Spin Chain and Exchange the Gears because people were having problems see the formation virtually because most of us were working with seven phantoms. He worked shopped Linear Cycle from Waves because at this level the dancers usually don't do the move at this formation. He is always a pleasure to dance to because he is very smooth and site calls to the screens. I had a great time dancing to Loren and with friends.

Second was Ett McAtee's Weekly C1 at 1:00pm for an hour. She called four tips to 16 participants. This week I danced very well to Ett. I had a fun hour of dancing to Ett and with friends.

Third was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00pm for an hour and a half. The format was three tips of C1, three tips of A2 and two trivia question in between the A2 tips. Karin Rabe was in Chili so Greg Moore showed up and helped Dave call the dance. During the C1 tips we had 9 participants and A2 had 9 participants. At the end of the dance Karin Zoomed in to say hi. I had a great evening of dancing to Dave and Greg and with friends.

Get up and dance with friends

In between the dances I played games.

I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before going to bed last night. Before Loren's dance I played the event, which was Event: Tri Peaks Adventure of 20 games. It took me 57 minutes and 33 seconds, which put me 6th place in my group. After Ett's dance I played Angry Birds and Friends. In the evening I played Angry Birds 2.

In between Loren's and Ett's dances I played seven games of pinball. They were Avatar, Fun House, Cactus Canyon, Big Bang Bar, Willow, Elvira House of Horrors Blood Red Kiss and Cirqus Voltaire. I had a great day of playing pinball even though I didn't get on the board but once. I was very close to getting a new high score in Avatar and Elvira House of Horrors Blood Red Kiss I became high score #3.

Larry played a couple of games of pinball, which were Indianapolis 500 and Mustang.

I played two games of Monster Manor and one game of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade. While playing Monster Manor both times I earned a bronze trophy, stunned the manor once and busted the banister. The second game was the best score, where I was successful on getting the spiders to appear twice by getting rid of their webs with a firs ball. I had fun playing Monster Manor.

While playing Gunpowder Gulch I earned a gold trophy. I played all four events and was successful in completing two. I played Quick Drawl and Cracked Safe and was successful. I was unsuccessful to complete the Barrel Barrage twice and Gunfight twice. I played the multiballs, which were Wooden Sign Rally twice, Saloon, Sade Cracked and Jail Break. I had a super game.

While I danced Larry read.

Relaxing with a book

After Dave's dance we watched Step Into The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough. They recreated some of the dances that were inspired by seven different movies. They performed a dance from Singing In The Rain, Saturday Night Fever, All That Jazz (Chicago), Roxanne (Moulin Rouge), Beauty and the Beast, La La Land and Dirty Dancing. It was well done and the performers did a great job. Then we watched some YouTube videos. When Larry went to bed I watched the sixth Mission Impossible, which was Mission Impossible - Fallout and Crocodile Dundee. While watching television I worked on my jigsaw puzzle. I ended up doing 2,000 steps.
