Monday 11-10-25 Cold Front, Dancing, Workout & More

Cold Front

The cold front made it to Belton Texas. The weatherman was right about the cold front but it didn't get as cold. The weatherman predicted it would get down to freezing but at our home it was 35 degrees. The high was 58 degrees. It was colder than normal.

Larry started the day out by going to his doctor for his annual Wellness checkup. The doctor said he was in great health. While he was there he asked about a COVID shot. The doctor said they didn't have any available at the clinic but because of our age we should get one. We have always gotten them at Walmart but this year we had to change our insurance and now we go to HEB so we'll have to see how to get the shot from them.

Larry got back at home in time to dance with me at 9:00 for an hour. Di Green and Terry McCann have a C1 dance every Monday. This week they were out of town so Loren Smith covered for them. Larry surprised Loren by showing up because the last time Loren called I danced by myself. Larry was busy doing projects. Loren called five tips to 12 participants. Larry danced the whole dance with me and we had a super time.

I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Easy Street Mini of 15 games. It took me 38 minutes and 3 seconds, which put me in 27th place in my group. I played Angry Birds and Friends and Angry Birds 2.

Larry bought more movies to put into our collection of movies.

After lunch I worked out with Synth Riders for 40 minutes to four different songs. I danced each song twice, the songs were: Get Up My Keys, On My Way, Star Burst and Spectrum. Both times I played Get Up My Keys and Spectrum I got outstanding scores because I didn't miss any balls. I earned new high scores in all the games except Star Burst both times. I had a great workout on Synth Riders.

I played one game of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade for 15 minutes. I earned a silver trophy and an extra ball. I played Quick Drawl twice, Barrel Barricade once, Safe Crack once and Gunfight once. I was successful in Safe Crack and Gunfight. I played three multiballs, which were Jailbreak, Wooden Sign Rally and Saloon. I didn't get a new high score but had a good game.

I played seven games of pinball, which were JP Space Cadet, Star Trek the Next Generation, Guardians of the Galaxy, Big Bang Bar, Nightmare Before Christmas, Elvira Scared Stiff and Xenon. While playing Guardians of the Galaxy I entered my initials as high score #1. When I played the week challenge of Xenon I got a new high score, which put me in 16th out of 21 participants. It's early so we'll have more participants by Sunday at 12:00. I played very well.

I continued working on the jigsaw puzzle.

In the evening we watched Christopher Robin out of our movies collection. We had watched it before but at the time we didn't own it. Larry bought it so we watched it again. It a cute movie about Winnie the Pooh and friends and Christopher Robin. After Larry went to bed I watched a couple of movies from our movies collect, the second movie of Maleficent called Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and the fourth movie of Jesse Stone called Jesse Stone: Sea Change I ended up doing 4,500 steps.
