Happy Halloween
Today was Halloween and we had a beautiful day. This year I didn't put up my outdoor decorations, by the time I thought about it it was too much trouble for a couple of days. But I did put up the Halloween decorations Larry made last year. Yesterday, we bought some candy to give out but no kids showed up at our door. I guess we'll have to eat the candy. I'm glad we only bought a couple of small bags, one each of Reese's Bats and Heath Bars.

We square dance with people from the UK and this weekend their Daylight Saving Time ended. Di Green and Terry McCann's Plus dance will be at the same time as Dayle's A2 dance. We'll be attending Dayle's.
We attended DI Green and Terry McCann's C1 dance at 10:00, it's usually at 9:00. Di called five tips with 20 participants. Some of the dancers dressed up for Halloween, Di and Terry dressed up as well. While Di was calling she wore a long black wig and did very well keeping it in place. I dressed up with my Halloween blouse and vest and wore an orange hat with a black rim. We had a super time dancing with friends.

Larry is ready for the next step in his pinball project. After lunch we went to town to get a piece of plywood to start the cabinet build. First we stopped at Lowe's to check out their plywood, then we went to The Home Depot to check out theirs. We found a sheet at Home Depot that looked perfect. Unbelievable prices, by the time tax was added the one sheet of 4 x 8 red oak plywood was $97.
I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. Then I did the Event: Klondike Mini of 5 games. It took me 11 minutes and 14 seconds, which put me in 20th place in my group. I played Angry Birds.
While I played my games Larry worked on figuring out how to cut the pieces he needed getting the maximum usage from the one piece of plywood. One piece will not be enough but he is hoping to use some plywood he had left from other projects for pieces that will be hidden on the back.
The last two nights for dinner we had OPAA! Gyros. This was a new dish we had bought the other day at HEB. The kit came with four Gyro breads, four packages of Greek yogurt and a package of beef and lamb strips. It doesn't take long to cook. You fry the bread for 20 seconds on each side and the meat 20 seconds on each side. They came out very tasty.

In the evening we watched a movie on Amazon called Samaritan. It a 2022 movie starring Sylvester Stallone, it wasn't very good. Teenage boys would probably like it. Then we watched a couple of episodes of Doc Martin. After Larry went to bed I started watching the Harry Potter series. I watched the first movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It's an old movie but still is very cute. I watched an episode of Bergerac. I ended up doing 28,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group. This is a very good start for the week.
