Monday 11-7 Flu Shot, Housework & Keeping Dry

 

Gas Grill

It rained a large part of the day so our plan was to stay dry. The next part of our pinball cabinet build requires cutting out a number of pieces of wood, this needs to be done outside so with the rain coming we decided to do other things.

We have a Weber Gas Grill and occasionally it has to have a little maintenance. I have been having trouble getting it to light so I've been using a lighter. I also noticed that the burner wasn't lighting correctly. I decided to check it out and I noticed that the drip pan was full so I exchanged it out with a fresh tray. Larry checked out the problem and said I was correct, it wasn't lighting and only a small part of the burner was working. He took the grill apart and found that wasps had been having a great time, they had built nest throughout the grill. He removed the nests and used a small pointed tool to clean out every hole in the three burners, that's a lot of holes. After doing this he cleaned the buildup of gunk from the bottom inside of the grill. While Larry did his part I cleaned the work area up a bit. It's not perfect but it looks a lot better. Larry got the grill working correctly. Now I can barbecue more evenly. Thank you honey. For dinner I barbecued pork loin and it came out perfect.

After working on the grill we went to town to get our flu shot. We normally get the shot about this time of year and as an added inducement our counties flu numbers are very high. It's great we only have to go to Walmart to get them. It started raining on the way and by the time we arrived it was pouring, we waited in the parking lot for the rain to slow down. When it did we went into Walmart and got our shots. While there we picked up a few things.

I did some housework because I hadn't done it in a couple of weeks. I vacuumed the house, cleaned the bathrooms, dusted and did laundry.

I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. I did the Event: Easy Street Mini of 15 games. It took me 35 minutes and 20 seconds, which put 28th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds 2 and Angry Birds and Friends.

In the evening we watched a movie on FREEVEE called The Shape of Water. It was a very good movie about a lonely janitor who forms an unique friendship with an amphibious creature. Then I watched the 8th and final Harry Potter movie called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow Part 2. Then I watched an episode of Bergerac. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put me in 4th place in my group.
