Friday 11-11 Cold Front, Dancing & Pinball

Playing in the rain

At 6:00 am it was 66 degrees, throughout the day the temperature dropped to 43 degrees. It sprinkled in the morning and around 9:00 it got very dark and the wind came up. The rain came within the hour and it poured. It didn't last long but the clouds stayed around.

We continued working on the pinball machine build. Before the weather got too bad we cut braces for the legs. Then we continued the project in Larry's workroom. Larry drilled pocket holes in the braces so he could screw them to the legs. Then we assembled the braces to legs and the cabinet. By putting the braces on the legs they became very sturdy. Next we moved the pinball machine to the living room to check it out. Larry wanted to take some measurements on where the machine will be when it's finished. It is on wheels so when it is folded we can easily roll it around. We still need to build the top part of the cabinet. We are quite pleased with how it is coming out, it looks great.

In the afternoon we relaxed.

I played my Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. Then I did the Event: Medium Mayhem of 15 games. It took me 34 minutes and 30 seconds, which put me in 5th place in my group. Then I moved on to playing Angry Birds.

While I played games Larry was learning a bit more about the software to run the pinball games, he was learning how to brighten up the games.

In the evening I attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2/C1 dance at 6:30 for an hour and fifteen minutes. Loren Smith covered for Ett because she was attending a weekend square dancing event. Loren called five tips of A2 with 11 participants and one tip of C1 with 9 participants. We had a small group because some of the dancers were at the same event as Ett. During the C1 tip Loren reviewed moves he had taught on his Sunday dance. I had a great time dancing to Loren and with with friends.

After the dance we watched a couple of episodes of Doc Martin. Then I watched a movie The X-Files. I continued watching the last season of Bergerac. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put in 3rd place in my group.
