Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
Today was grey and rainy, a perfect kind of day to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family.
We went to our friends Renee and Robert. We hadn't been there for a couple of years due to Covid. They live in on the far side of Austin, about 80 miles from us. We had to go through Austin. When we travel we usually avoid toll roads but today we took the toll road because it is easier and less stressful. The traffic was quite good, only a few trucks were on the road. Traffic even flowed at full speed on I35 through Round Rock, a rare occurrence.
Renee and Robert are great hosts. This year there were 20 of us at the celebration. It was great to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends. The celebration was at 1:00 and it took us a little over an hour and a half to get there. For lunch we had turkey, ham, mash potatoes and gravy, two types of cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, relish tray (sweet pickles, hot red peppers, black and green olives and cheese), dressing and rye bread. For dessert we had pecan pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake, pumpkin pie, tarts and brownie and cookie cups. Everything was delicious. We had a super time.
When we got home Larry worked on learning more about configuring some of the settings for virtual pinball.
I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event today was Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 5 games. It took me 12 minutes and 22 seconds to complete, which put me in 41 place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.
In the evening I attended Darren Gallina' Thanksgiving Mainstream/Plus dance at 8:00 for an hour. This year Darren invited Dayle Hodge to come and help him call the dance. They called a tip each of Mainstream with 22 participants and a tip each of Plus with 21 participants. In between the tips we had questions about Darren, Thom, Dayle and Cathy (Dayle's partner). I had a great time.
After the dance we watched YouTube videos. After Larry went to bed I watched Death on the Nile. Then I finished the first season of The Mallorca Files. I ended up doing 27,500 steps, which put me in 1st place in my group.
