Having fun with friends
We started the day out by going to town. First stop was at The UPS Store to pick up our mail. Last week Larry ordered checks from Walmart. The checks arrived and somehow the worker at the store was able to roll up the package and stuff it into our tiny mailbox. Larry had a dickens of a time getting them out and they were a bit worse for the wear. They will flatten out and work fine. Next stop was The Home Depot to buy a few items to use on the bottom box of the pinball machine, a couple of different size dowels, hinges and aluminum angle bar.
It's hard to believe but we have been working on this project for over a week and other than our initial purchase of plywood this is the first trip we have made to Home Depot. Larry has been able to scrounge through his stash of stuff for everything else we have needed. However we did forget to purchase an item we needed today so Larry had to make a second trip.
I attended three virtual dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly A1/A2 dance for an hour at 11:00. Dayle called two tips of two couple A1, two tips of two couple A2 and one tip of four couple with 9 participants. Larry danced with me and we had a super time.
Second was Ett McAtee's C1 for an hour and fifteen minutes at 1:00. She called five tips with 18 participants. We just danced and she walked us through sequences we had problems with. I had fun dancing to Ett and with friends.
Third was Dave Eno's C1/A2 for two hours at 6:30. Karen Rabe and Greg Moore helped Dave call the A2 tips. The format was two tips of C1 with 7 participants, five tips of A2 with 9 participants and one tip of C1 with 6 participants. During the A2 tips Dave called two tips and Karen and Greg took turns calling tips and the fifth tip all three of them took turns calling. It was a small group but we had a great time dancing to them.
Get a partner and dance
After Ett's dance we worked on the pivot of the bottom cabinet. Larry made the blocks to hold the dowel. He drilled the holes in the bottom cabinet for the dowel. Another day or two on the bottom cabinet and then we will start on the top cabinet.
I did my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The Event: Expert Only Mini of 5 games. It took me 1 hour, 32 minutes and 29 seconds, which put me in 15th place in my group.
After Dave's dance we watched a couple of episodes of the last season of Doc Martin on Acorn. Then I watched X-Men: X2. Afterwards I watched an episode of Bergerac. I ended up doing 28,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group.
