Gorgeous day in the Valley |
The day started out cool but by noon it was warm. The sun was shining and there was no wind.
We spent the day dancing with Randy Dougherty. The morning dance was a plus DBD Dance. We were short one person to make two squares. The first tip Randy did a six couple square. It was a lot of fun. The rest of the session Randy danced with Rod, this gave us two squares, he didn't have a cordless microphone so we had to be quiet in order to hear him call. The dance was very challenging and we laughed the whole dance.
We had an hour before our afternoon dance so we went to El Pollo Loco for lunch. We had the two piece chicken combo, which a leg and thigh with two sides (beans and cole slaw) and drink. The chicken was a little dry but overall the food was good.
In the afternoon we danced A2 DBD to Randy. We were shy one person to make five squares. This was a great turn out considering we only had two squares last week. The dance lived up to it's name of Freaky Friday. A lot of C1 and C2 dancers showed up, it was great to see our friends. Randy made the dance very challenging and fun. Once again we spent the dance laughing and having fun.

By the end of the dance we were tired. I was too tired to go play cards with the guys. Instead I stayed home and finished up a book on the Kindle. It was the second book of a six books series written by Emily Organ. I read the third book already. It's a series about a female reporter that works with a detective to solve murders in the late 1800s. Emily is a very good writer. So far I like the series. Next I will read the fourth book of the series. You don't have to read the series in order because each book has an ending. We had a great day.
