Wednesday 8-1 Shelf Project and Dancing

Busy Day

Once again we didn't get to 100 degrees, we got to 98. There was a bit of a breeze making it comfortable outside.

We started the day off by working on the shelving project. Larry already knew what he wanted to do so he took a couple measurements. The shelving unit came with four shelves, which were already cut to size. He used three of them on the top shelf and he installed the fourth one on the middle shelf. He needed two more shelves the same size as the one he had installed. He cut the two pieces he needed from some left over plywood. The unit came with clips that fit into the shelf to hold it to the brackets. He didn't have any extra clips so he made four supports out of a scrap piece of plywood. After cutting the supports to size he rounded the front corners and sanded the edges to make them smoother. Then he drilled holes in the supports and brackets so he could screw them together. Once he got this done the shelves fit perfectly in between the brackets. I helped him do this project. By the time we got this far it was mid afternoon so we'll get back to the project tomorrow.

After calling it a day Larry blew out the garage, cleaned and put away all the tools. Then we put the boat back in the garage. When everything was cleaned up Larry treated for bugs. While he did this I worked on my puzzle and did a couple of loads of laundry.

In the evening we went to Shirts 'n' Skirts in Georgetown for their weekly dance. We hadn't been there in a long time. There were four squares and  few round dancers. In between the square dancing tips there were two rounds. Brad Caldwell did the calling, Lucy and Jerry did the cueing. We danced every square dance tip, there were 4 Mainstream Tips and Two Plus Tips. The club had a lot of delicious desserts for the dancers to snack on. We had a great time with friends. It was very nice to see Brad's wife Paula. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
