We had an awesome Friday.
Larry spent most of the day finishing up the boxes for the new speakers. The boxes were built entirely from left over pieces he had lying around. The two front pieces of board he cut out a circle for the speakers to fit. Then he made supports strips to assemble the sides and backs. The backs are screwed on so if he needs to work on the speakers he can get inside the box. He assembled most of the box using a hot glue gun. This was the first time he used hot glue and it worked great. He stained the boxes giving them kind of an antique finish. They are installed laying down flat on top of our kitchen cabinets where they can't be seen. They are and hooked up to a small amplifier and the Fire tablet. They sound great.

While the stain was drying we went to the UPS Store to pickup a package
that was waiting for us. The package was from Larry's mom. Larry's and Louise's birthdays are in August and mine is in September. We leave for our Fall trip at the end of August so we celebrate our birthdays before we leave. The package was our birthday presents and snacks. The snacks were; peanut butter fudge, chocolate fudge, oatmeal raisin cookies and peanut brittle, they are delicious.
While Larry was doing his project I worked on my puzzle. I worked out for an hour and a half using my Wii Fit, Gold's Gym and Just Dance.
Working Out |
In the evening we watched YouTube videos and an Amazon movie called The Flowers of War. It was a historical war movie starring Christian Bale. It was very slow and you had to read subtitles because some of it was in Chinese.
