Saturday 8-4 Errands and More

Doing this and that

We had a wonderful day.

We started out by finishing the shelves in the garage, it looks excellent. Now we have more area to store things.

Every three months or so the Culture Activities Center in Temple changes out their art exhibits in the Saulsbury Gallery. The exhibits currently on display are for sale, they are 6X6 art. Artists from around the area put their art on canvases that are 6X6. In the hallway leading to the gallery there was art on display from Veterans. The artists used different materials to express themselves, they used: colored pencils, paint and glass. We saw a lot of nice art. Some artists had a lot of talent. The displays were very nice.

After walking through the gallery we went to Belton to do some grocery shopping, put gas in the car and pick up our mail at the UPS Store. The last time we got fuel at the Murphy in Belton there was a sign stating it was going to be closed until fall. When we went to get our mail we noticed they had torn down everything, nothing but a bare lot left. I guess they doing a complete overhaul.

Running errands

Larry has been having trouble with a breaker in the garage, whenever he used the sander the breaker would trigger. He replaced the breaker and still had the problem. He figured that it probably was the extension cord. Not long ago he replaced the plug on the end of the cord so he thinks that might be the problem. While we were in town we swung by Ace Hardware and bought a new plug. When we got home he replaced the plug and tested it out, so far it works fine.

In the afternoon we watched a Giz Wiz show and some YouTube videos and I worked on my puzzle. For dinner I prepared a new dish called Stuffed Hot Peppers. I couldn't find the Hungarian peppers the recipe called for so I replaced them with Anaheim peppers. The stuffing was Italian bread crumbs, Italian sausage, cream cheese and cheddar cheese with a little seasoning. The stuffing was excellent but the peppers didn't have a lot of taste and weren't hot. Maybe next time I'll try another type of pepper.

In the evening we rented Ant Man, which was another super hero movie. It was very entertaining and at times funny. I liked it. Then we watched a couple of episodes of the third season of Scott & Baily. It's ok but I'm not as impressed as I was the first two seasons.
